Chiusure natalizie
I servizi dell’Amministrazione cantonale rimarranno chiusi i pomeriggi del 24 e del 31 dicembre 2024.
From research centres and universities to technology hubs and innovative companies, many enterprises in Ticino have contributed to the canton's social and economic development over the last quarter of a century. The 'Timeline' infographic below shows the fast pace of change we have seen in recent years, with the arrival of four new fields: life sciences, precision mechanics and electronics, the fashion industry and information and communication technology (ICT).
Many Ticino-based firms in these sectors have made their mark internationally, whilst at the same time putting down ever stronger roots at a local level. As a result, the canton is now in an extremely dynamic position, both scientifically and financially, and is an increasingly attractive proposition for those born locally, who, having studied elsewhere in Switzerland or abroad, are now seeking fresh challenges at home and at work. These pages are dedicated to them, and to those, both now and in the future, who choose to wave their emigrant past goodbye and return home.
