Moresi.com's offices have been based in Melano since 2008; in 2012 a data centre was designed and built from scratch. The company owns similar structures across Switzerland, and is one of the owners of BancaDati.ch, the largest data centre in Ticino, which opened in Manno in 2014.

• Moresi.com was founded in 1998 by Nicola Moresi, the current CEO, who was born, raised and educated in Ticino;
• the company has various data centres across Switzerland, but it chose Melano for its headquarters;
• it acts as a reference point for the promotion and development of Ticino as a leading international IT infrastructure hub.

• 2: the number of biometric control systems one must pass through before entering the underground bunker in Melano - a fingerprint reader and a face recognition device;
• 800: the surface area in square metres of the data centre in Melano, where the IT servers are kept;
• over 350: the number of physical servers hosted by the Melano Data Centre;
• over 200: the number of petabytes of memory the Melano Bunker can store. This is equivalent to 2 million gigabytes, enough to save over 80,000 Blu-ray quality films for approximately 6,700 days of uninterrupted viewing.

Moresi.com helps contribute to Switzerland's image as a leading country in digital data protection. The company is also involved in promotional and public awareness campaigns: given the huge amount of data produced every day by computers and mobile devices (photographs, documents and videos, for example) it is increasingly important to protect ourselves and keep our digital property safe.
